The Elvira Black takes the Mary Jane template and gives it a gothic makeover. A smooth black faux leather upper forms a T-bar, with one strap running down the vamp and splitting into two buckle straps over the instep. Silver-tone buckles pop against the dark finish, while tonal stitching and a debossed logo at the heel counter keep things tidy.
The towering platform and chunky block heel make the height feel steadier than it looks. For a sweet-meets-sinister outfit, wear them with lace-trimmed socks and a pinafore dress; a velvet mini dress and sheer tights lean more vampy evening.
